Hooked on Masonics

Meeting on the reading level.

Morals and Dogma

“Go big or go home,” I reckon could be the motto for our book club’s inaugural reading. Several weeks ago some very good brothers, who happen to be father and son, proposed the idea of kicking off a book club with a very famous and very long reading. I am of course referring to well-known brother of American History Albert Pike’s Morals and Dogma. As of this writing, absolutely 0 percent of the 820 page behemoth has been read by myself, but I look the nay-sayers and non-believers in the eyes and exclaim I CAN…try.

That’s sort of the idea of a book club, isn’t it? A feeling of accountability or responsibility to read on so you don’t look like the laziest person at the next meeting. That reminds me, sometime between 1 May and 1 June we should probably try to have our first meeting.

I think a good goal would be to have everyone who is interested to have completed chapter 2 (page 28 in the physical version) by 1 June, and to go from there..

DON’T HAVE THE BOOK?
